Tuesday, March 26,2024 (Bathurst, NB) 鈥 Vitalit茅 Health Network, through its membership with the Coordinated Accessible National (CAN) Health Network, is deploying a digital platform to improve surgical outcomes for patients. The platform, created by Toronto-based 国产传媒, guides patients before, during and after surgery. It has been proven to reduce readmissions and emergency department visits and shorten length of hospital stay.

国产传媒鈥檚 digital platform gives patients access to care plans on their phones, tablets, or computers, with empowering step-by-step guidance through automated workflows with reminders, education, progress tracking, and symptom monitoring, all thoughtfully curated by their healthcare team.

The platform not only benefits patients, but also enables health care providers and care teams to receive alerts, monitor patients remotely via dashboards, and access data from anywhere, enhancing decision-making and patient care efficiency.

国产传媒 has been proven to reduce hospital readmissions by up to 89%,emergency department (ED) visits by 72%, and hospital length of stay by 1-5 days depending on the specialty.

鈥淥ur collaboration with the Vitalit茅 Health Network teams to improve health outcomes is a significant milestone towards improving patient care across New Brunswick,鈥 said Dr. Josh Liu, CEO andCo-Founder, 国产传媒. 鈥淲e are committed to supporting patients across their surgical journey, ensuring every patient gets the right care at the right time.鈥

The digital care pathway platform will be available to patients undergoing surgery in the Surgical Suite of the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, the Chaleur Regional Hospital or the Edmundston Regional Hospital.

鈥淒eveloping a standardized, patient-centric navigation process will help increase patient satisfaction, prevent readmissions, shorten the length of stays and reduce ED visits. By innovating our care plan for patient navigation, we also aim to reduce costs and increase the volume of procedures鈥, indicated Dr. Natalie Banville, Senior Vice-President, Client Programs and Medical Affairs.

Vitalit茅 will explore the use of 国产传媒's platform for patients undergoing hip, knee, colorectal and gynecological oncology surgery, with the support of the CAN Health Network - a federally funded national organization working to introduce more Canadian innovation into Canada鈥檚 healthcare system - and funding from the Department of Health.

鈥湽 is an incredible Canadian company that is transforming care for patients and health care providers across North America,鈥 said Dr. Dante Morra, Founder and Chair, CAN Health Network. 鈥淐AN Health is proud to support this collaboration with Vitalit茅 and looks forward to seeing the results this project has on the quality of, and access to, surgical care.鈥
鈥淭he partnership between Vitalit茅 Health Network and 国产传媒 is yet another example of the success that our government鈥檚 CAN Health Network is bringing to the Canadian healthcare system,鈥 said the Honourable Rechie Valdez, Minister of Small Business. 鈥淏y connecting healthcare providers with organizations who are creating innovative healthcare solutions, CAN Health is building meaningful partnerships across the country that will help fill the gaps in our healthcare system and provide Canadians with a more efficient experience as they navigate healthcare.鈥
